What Does it Mean to be an "Heir of Grace"?

While I was doing my research of what people thought being a joint-heir with Christ was, I ran across this article.  It was written by Dr. Jack Arnold in March 2000.  He explained it like this: 

“’And joint-heirs with Christ’ The Christian is a joint heir of the Father with the person of Jesus Christ. Christ is the Father’s Son, and to Christ God has bequeathed everything because Christ is the only rightful heir to the Father’s estate. But the Christian is in spiritual union with Christ because of the new birth and is therefore a joint-heir to the inheritance.If two brothers inherited an estate as equal heirs, then the estate would be divided into two equal parts and each would be given the same amount. But if the two are made joint-heirs, then both of them have equal rights to the total inheritance. They both look at the total inheritance as theirs. As joint-heirs with Christ, the total inheritance of Christ is the inheritance of every believer”.

I think this explains it pretty well.  It shows that Christ is the rightful heir. However, because Christ died for us, we are new creations and are now joint with Him.  Christ is King and if we accept Him into our lives we can become His heirs.

"My Mask is Changing"

There is a girl who doesn't really like to show people how she really feels because she is afraid of how people will take it and if they will tell other people.  This girl’s mask is pretending to be somebody that she is not.  This girl is trying to be herself with some friends and trying to not care what people think of her true self.  She is trying to take the mask off because she knows she should be showing who she truly is and not trying to hide it.  She knows she is wearing a mask to hide from some people.  She struggles with saying what she is really thinking.  She tends to keep it all inside without sharing it with others.  She also has a hard time explaining things which makes being open even more challenging.  She is really working on being real to herself and to God.

There is a girl who has always acted differently around certain people and certain groups because she tries to fit in with people and their groups.

Sometimes she doesn’t always think about God or spend the time with Him that she should.

She also doesn’t always act like a Christian when she should because she's afraid.

This girl will act different when she is with some groups of people because she thinks others won’t like her and will find her weird.

She only opens up to people that she is really close with.

She is not really confident in herself.

Her mask is hiding who she really is...

and pretending to be somebody else.
